scalloped potatoes gratin recipeOther then preparing the potatoes, this is a relatively simple recipe. The cream and milk will make it smooth. The nutmeg will give it that needed spice and the cheese will bring it all together.

Ingredients to make Scalloped Potato Gratin Recipe:

4 baker potatoes, unpeeled, sliced thinly
1 cup of milk
1 cup of cream
One-quarter tsp of nutmeg
One-half cup of cheddar cheese
Salt and pepper
1 clove of garlic, cut in half
1 tbsp of butter
1 cup of breadcrumbs

Directions to make Scalloped Potato Gratin Recipe:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Toss together potatoes, milk cream, nutmeg, cheese and salt and pepper until
well coated.

Rub a 9-inch by 9 inch baking dish with butter and garlic clove. Pour in potatoes
and sprinkle with breadcrumbs.

Bake for one and a half hours, until bubbling and potatoes are tender.
